  1. Make ready 2 cup Chana Dal
  2. Prepare 1 cup curd
  3. Get 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

  6. Get 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  7. Prepare 2 chopped green chillies
  8. Make ready 1 tsp sugar

  13. Take leaves Coriander

Steps to make Chana Dal dhokla:
  1. Soak Chana Dal for 5 to 6 hours.. and dry for sometime.. now grind Dal without water..
  2. Now take a bowl and add Chana Dal powder and curd and water as required and mix it properly until lumps disappear
  3. Now add 2 tsp oil, salt, turmeric powder, grated ginger, green chillies and mix it…
  4. Now in a deep pan or cooker add water and preheat it for 10 minutes… Now take a thali or cake tin and greese it
  5. Now add 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp baking powder with 1 tsp water and mix it nicely.. and pour it in cake tin..
  6. Place the cake tin in the kadahi and cover it and cook it for 10 minutes.. after 10 minutes insert a toothpick in dhokla if it's clean than off the flame.. if it's not clean than cook for 5 minutes more..
  7. Now leave it for 5 minutes.. so dhokla is cool.. now place it in a plate..
  8. Take a small pan and add some oil.. now add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida and roast it until smells aromatic. Now add slit green chillies and roast it.. now add 1/2 cup water and 1 tsp sugar and mix it.. when sugar dissolves than off the flame and add coriander leaves and mix it..
  9. Now spread the tadka on dhokla
  10. Serve dhokla with chutney or eat like this
